The Indian Olympic Association (IOA) along with its member units bring together millions from around the world to celebrate the joy of sport world Olympic Day. 2018 marks the 70th anniversary of Olympic Day, which was initiated in 1948 to commemorate the ‘Olympic Movement’.
The president of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) arrived in Buenos Aires on Friday and on Sunday he will take part in the relay at the end of the world that will be held in Ushuaia, the last stop in the Buenos Aires 2018 Torch Tour.
As many as 32 athletes aged between 16 – 22 years attended the first edition of the IOC Athletes Career Programme Workshop, organized by the Indian Olympic Association in New Delhi on 9 December 2018, with support from IOC Athletes Commission, International Olympic Committee and The Adecco Group.
Her ultimate goal though is to redeem herself for her performance at the Rio Olympics. That can only happen at the Tokyo Olympics. “My goal is to win a medal in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. That is the dream I am living with and for which I will do anything under the sun,” she says.
